COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING PROGRAM

Summer 2021

Are you interested in being a CIT (“Counselor-in-Training”) this summer? CITs work closely with the camp staff at a variety of our camps. A CIT is a camper enrolled in a specialized camp leadership program. Through practical experience, CITs learn about behavior management, risk management/safety awareness, communication, decision making, program planning and team building.

The CIT program is meant to develop future leaders for camp and all other areas of life. Our goal is to give CITs the opportunity to gain confidence, pride and a sense of community and accomplishment. Your CIT assignment can be discontinued at any time if it is in the best interest of the program or campers to do so. The Ranch reserves the right to conduct reference checks of applicants and reserves the right to deny applicants.

To ensure the camp’s quality, we ask that only those who are genuinely interested in working with children, and are able to fulfill the commitment as outlined apply to be a CIT.
